The Company:

My Client has an extremely exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join this national developer. With a huge portfolio of work behind them and some exciting projects coming up this is a great opportunity for the right candidate. The role will be based out of the East Midlands office with a view to move more towards the midlands. The developer has a great reputation based on listening to employees, supporting ideas and recognising achievement which has helped see this company go from strength to strength.

The role:

The position is for the candidate to understand build costs and provide central support and advice on surveying and purchasing related matters to the Regions. This role will involve the chosen candidate to focus on the companies Midlands projects. Both surveyors from housing and construction backgrounds will be considered for this role.

The ideal Quantity Surveyor:

As a Quantity surveyor you should have a minimum 5 years' experience working for a developer or contractor, you should feel confident taking on large projects and delegating responsibilities where needed. Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor who is able to set standards and lead by example.

  • Assist with the issuing of information for pricing Regional Model Bills, review Lego Rates on annual basis (or other time periods as may be required) and submit for approval as required.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the Standard Specification and advise the Design Director of any changes in product or revised agreements so that any Standard Details can also be amended.
  • Assist with the development of BIM 3D Modelling and Cost Modelling Software.
  • Be involved with the central co-ordination of the National Trading Agreements and liaise with the respective personnel in the regions to ensure the flow of information and to provide support in the event of disputes or other operational issues.
  • Be involved in the implementation of improvements to our Supply Chain.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent attention to detail, housing experience is an absolute must, alongside the ability to make the company as profitable as possible.
