Sales Trainer

Location: Fareham / Gosport

Salary £23000 -£32000 dependant on experience
This may also offer a basic of £23-25K plus a bonus to reach an OTE of £32000

Hours of work: You will need to be flexible to work between the hours of 9am and 8pm Monday to Friday on a rota basis which will be split between yourself and the Sales Manager

Dynamite recruitment is currently working in partnership with a very well established business based in Hampshire. My client work within a specialist industry and offer an excellent product's and service's to their customers. Due to huge success from 2016 our client now have huge growth plans for 2017 and are looking to recruit a full time sales trainer to join the business.

As a Sales Trainer you will have responsibility for the Company's sales training including planning, implementing, delivering and reviewing. This includes responsibility for improving the performance of team members, the contact structure, creating and providing sales resources, motivating the sales team and reporting on feedback. The primary objective is to maximise sales.

You must comply with documented quality system procedures and you have a responsibility to actively support the Company's quality ethic and quality improvement programmes.

This position will really suit a talented Sales Trainer who is driven by seeing results in others and wants to make this position their own

Key duties will include the following:

  • Motivate and train the sales team to achieve targets including providing ideas for incentives. Hold monthly team meetings and contribute to regular one to one meetings to measure performance
  • Gather enquirers' feedback from the team to establish reasons enquirers are booking or not booking our courses and diplomas, as well as competitor updates
  • Ensure adequate training is provided as a result of sampling covering both sales techniques and coaching where appropriate and training on administrative tasks should any fall below expectations of the role
  • Train new starters within the Sales department
  • Plan, implement and deliver training sessions by:
  • Observing, listening in and demonstrating selling techniques - identify skills gaps and training needs; demonstrate effective selling techniques
  • Providing refresher training as well as information on new techniques and ideas
  • Implementing sales training plans and adapting to meet the CA and business needs
  • Arranging for Heads of Schools to provide updates and information on new products
  • Delivering feedback in a positive and encouraging manner, coaching and counselling as necessary
  • Requesting external training sessions in liaison with HR
  • Keeping a record of such briefings with signed copies of relevant documents as evidence of training for the team members' HR files
  • Creating visual training resources to stimulate the sales environment
  • Devising and implementing sales incentives
  • Feed into solutions when the department workload is high and keep the Head of Sales informed of the current status
  • Feed into the sales department structure and email templates
  • Ensure sales policies, procedures and guidelines for the team are up to date, document controlled and meet the requirements of ISO
  • Answer coaching related queries from team members to ensure they deal with all enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Participate in regular update meetings with the Sales and Marketing team
  • Contribute to complaints that fall within your remit by the required deadline
  • Participate with HR in the recruitment and selection of team members and aim to fill vacancies with high calibre applicants as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • Participate with HR in the implementation of performance plans when required
  • Cover customer contacts to support the team when workload is high and during periods of holidays and sickness. Ensure there is an effective system in place to cover workload in these instances
  • Seek ways of reducing costs and minimising expenditure
  • Advise the Head of Sales promptly of any serious or potentially serious problems, especially those that may have an adverse impact on the Company or its public image

  • Will have a proven successful history in training others to achieve sales results
  • Will have drive and determination
  • Will have strong communication skills
  • Will be highly organised
