Operations Improvement Manager
Huxley Associates is proud to be working for a multinational company that specialise in manufacturing machinery in the life sciences sector, within the West Midlands. They are growing at 15% per annum and have recruited over 50 people last year, with a turnover of over £60 million. This aggressive growth is being fuelled by huge global demand and looks set to continue well into 2013 and beyond.
The new opportunity of an Operations Improvement manager has become available due to rapid expansion. The Operations Improvement Manager will be reporting directly to the Technical Director and work on several projects to make the organisation as lean as possible. One particular project is an ERP system that is being implemented. There is also scope for starting and leading new projects which makes this role both exciting and challenging. You will be working alongside 4 Production managers closely in a coaching/mentoring role and quickly have to gain their respect.
Interested? We are looking for an experienced Operations Improvement Manager who has a background in blue chip manufacturing and operations. You will ideally come from a pharmaceutical or life sciences background, however anyone from a chemicals, cosmetics, process or aerospace background will be considered. You will have extensive experience in lean manufacturing and six sigma. Experience of implementing ERP systems is also an advantage as this will be a key project in your role. You will also be degree educated from a technical background. The candidate will be very practical and hands on, working closely on projects.
The salary on offer is circa £60,000-70,000 pro rata which is based on a long term fixed contract of 18-24 months.
