We have a fantastic Senior Care and Support position available now in Halstead, Essex.

If you have experience working with adults with mental problems and you have passion to work in Care and Support we want to hear from you!

We are looking for a bright individual to join our team providing care at our supported living registered service.

You will also have an opportunity to obtain a Level 3/Diploma in Health & Social Care!
This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week on a 7 day rota basis + sleep-ins.
What does a typical day look like?

You will manage cases and supporting the general well-being of residents on a daily basis, you will do so by working alongside our customers to develop, review and update of care and support plans and risk assessments. You will encourage and support your assigned caseload to establish and maintain positive relationships with their family and friends and engage in activities which help them to achieve their personal goals.

The purpose of this role will be to promote independent living and as such you will provide support and practical assistance to customers around benefits, budgeting, paying bills and accessing appropriate services, including some housing management. You will be expected to have some understanding of the welfare application process.

You will need to have the following skills and experiences:
- At least 1 year experience in a similar role
- Have de-escalation techniques as clients have complex needs
- An understanding of the application process of welfare benefits
- Experience writing care plans and completing risk assessments
- Knowledge of health & safety issues relating to care and support of vulnerable people
- Excellent communication skills

The ideal candidate should have NVQ Health and Social Care Level 3 or a willingness to undertake the course.
