Due to a number of recent contract wins and the continued growth of the business, my client are wanting a highly motivated and driven individual to join their rapidly expanding team to manage a number of their grounds maintenance contracts throughout Surrey and the surrounding areas.

Our Client have been designing, building and maintaining gardens throughout the UK for a considerable amount of years and have gained a desirable reputation for their renowned garden designs and pride themselves on their high customer service levels with a strong work ethic. They work for prestigious housing developers on a sole supplier basis across the country and have recently won a very large NHS contract to provide landscaping and maintenance services across a large number of sites throughout the UK.

You will be reporting to the Area Manager who will be overseeing you and your team's day to day progress ensuring you meet your targets and deadlines so if you can manage multiple projects, are commercially minded and have the ability to manage a variety of multi layered teams then please read on!

  • Provide weekly financial reports
  • Day to day management of multiple landscaping teams
  • Health & Safety on site
  • Contract delivery to full specification and agreed budget
  • Sourcing new contracts
  • Developing new and nurturing established client relationships
  • Programming and scheduling of works

To be successful in this role you must be;

  • Highly driven and motivated
  • Have a minimum of 3 years commercial grounds maintenance experience
  • Computer literate with a very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Word & Excel.
  • Hold a full drivers licence
  • Able to pass DBS clearance

You will need to have exceptional management skills and be responsible for the day to day management of multiple teams, resource management, onsite health and safety and programming and scheduling.

You will be given the opportunity to develop your own personal and professional skills for the benefit of yourself and the business; with this you will be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to solve any issues that may occur and manage your own work schedule and that of your various teams.

Because you will be the go to person I'm looking for a confident and hardworking individual that has the ability to convey clear lines of communication between client, designer, management, staff and any sub-contractors. You will be able to manage the Work in Progress effectively, take control of all the health, safety, security, environmental and technical compliance issues, you will be responsible for managing sub-contractors and assessing their compliance.
