Estate Manager Residential Building

London E14

Monday to Friday

£40,000 per annum

My Client is looking for an Estate Manager, to manage the development and its employees, overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring that all services and activities are carried out efficiently. In addition, to be responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all stakeholders and will lead on the delivery of excellent customer service to all residents and guests.

Skills and Experience

• Substantial managerial or supervisory experience gained within a similar customer focused role

• Experience of delivering maintenance programmes for life safety, BMS Systems including working knowledge of periodic maintenance schedules.

• Demonstrated experience understanding, interpreting and preparing complex reports and plans

• Ability to work well under pressure

• Knowledge of relevant Landlord and Tenant Act, RICS and ARMA guidelines

• Good understanding of health and safety processes

General Duties

  • To set an example for all staff members by remaining courteous and helpful to all occupiers as well as to members of the public, staff, guests and contractors.
  • To monitor and review all logs and systems of record keeping.
  • To deal with administrative matters relating to the management of the building and staff. To work closely in co-operation with the senior property manager, keeping them well informed of events and issues which affect the building. To provide written building reports to the senior property manager on a weekly basis.
  • To ensure that all staff are trained to a sufficient standard in order that they may carry out their duties effectively, efficiently and safely.
  • To oversee the operation of all service contracts relating to the building and liaise with the senior property manager with regard to their effectiveness.
  • In consultation with the senior property manager, assist in the development and management of long term maintenance plans for the building.
  • To assist the senior property manager in the development and implementation of new or revised procedures as required.
  • To be responsible for all matters of a Health & Safety nature relating to the building/development. This includes assessing training needs, maintenance of log books, accident reporting procedures, compliance with COSHH regulation and contractor permit to work procedures.
  • To be responsible for the management of a petty cash fund. All expenditures to be documented and to be accompanied by detailed receipts.
