The post holder will work as part of a dedicated business system team responsible for managing service requests and incidents for a portfolio of healthcare business systems. The role requires excellent communication and customer service skills with a focus on providing high quality support to our business and partners.
The role requires liaising with our software vendors, manage service providers and internal IT teams on a regular basis for the resolution of a variety of technical issues and projects.
This position occasionally requires working outside of normal business hours and on call availability is required.

Responsible To: Business Systems Lead

About the Job:

•Provide daily triage and management of service requests, incidents and queries.
•Ensure business systems are supported to meet agreed service levels.
•Maintaining business system databases to ensure that applications functioning effectively, and that updates to look up tables, data dictionaries and medical databases are implemented in line with agreed processes.
•Participate in the ongoing development, configuration and maintenance of business systems to ensure that they continue to meet business requirements and service levels.
•Contribute to the creation, review and management of our document library.
•To assist with the monitoring and maintenance data quality for all systems used by the business.
•Adherence to the Information Security, Information Governance and Information Management policies, procedures and standards.
•Participate in internal change & small works projects.
•Provide data validation and entry, and routine configuration for the system.
•To provide routine reporting.
•Work in collaboration with clinical leads in configuring clinical systems to support the operational, administrative and clinical processes.
•Undertake system testing and quality assurance in accordance with established processes and procedures.
•Comply with processes supporting data integrity and quality in accordance with NHS and contractual requirements.
•Adhere to the organisations Information Security, Information Governance and Information Management policies, procedures and standards
•Monitor and maintain a log of problems that arise, and to ensure resolution of operational problems.
•Work closely with Test Analysts to build appropriate test plans and cases, covering functional, non functional, acceptance and regression testing.
•To comply with Care UK’s policies and procedures.

The Job Requirements:

Essential Skills & Experience
•Excellent computer skills. Power user of Microsoft Office products.
•Good knowledge of Windows operating system.
•Effective communicator with good communication and interpersonal skills.
•Very good written and verbal presentation skills.
•The willingness to work co-operatively within multi-disciplinary teams.
•Ability to work alone and self manage one’s self and workload.
•A good problem solver.
•Ability to provide options and implement action plans.
•Good analytical and numeric skills.
•Ability to work under pressure.

Desirable Skills & Experience
•ITIL Foundation qualified advantageous.
•MS SQL knowledge.
•Experience of computer networking and security.
•Experience configuring and maintaining clinical systems.
•Experience of IT systems within healthcare sector.
•Experience with application deployment over virtual environments.

Qualifications:

A Levels or equivalent. Alternatively, appropriate experience from within the healthcare business.

This is a permanent full time role that is 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis.
