My client is a membership organisation for the retail industry, they are actively seeking a capable individual to support the FC within this small team

ROLE PURPOSE:

To take sole responsibility of both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers and to assist the Financial Controller and Management Accountant with day to day accounting activities in order to provide support at busy periods, i.e. Month End/Year End.

THE ROLE:

It is essential that the job holder is a capable, self sufficient individual with initiative to work with minimal supervision

Processing Supplier invoices & credit notes
Processing Customer invoices and credit notes
Maintaining the Purchase and Sales ledger to a high standard
Collection of overdue debt from customers
Vendor reconciliations
Coding of AP invoices in line with budget
Producing debtor reports and ability to act upon results
Petty Cash reconciliation
Payment runs and allocation
Bank reconciliation in multiple currencies
Posting journals
Barclaycard reconciliation
Scanning and filing
Other ad-hoc duties as requested by line manager

SKILLS & INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:

Ability to use Excel to an intermediate level
Experience of Credit Control preferred
AP experience is essential
Ability to investigate and resolve queries
Experience of using Sage/Microsoft NAV beneficial

This role will be offered on a fixed term 1 year contract basis and will commence during February 2017, there is a possibility of contract extension/permanency
