Are you full of exciting ideas about how to bring breast cancer research to life to engage our audiences?

We’re Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity - and we’re dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease. We believe that if we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to raise the profile of Breast Cancer Now’s world-leading research taking place across the UK and Ireland, and support colleagues to raise vital funds to speed up our progress against breast cancer. Right now breast cancer is at a tipping point. More women are surviving. But more are being diagnosed than ever before.

One in eight women in the UK will face breast cancer in their lifetime. And every 45 minutes, another woman dies from the disease. We’re going to change that, and you will help us promote our research to inspire others to support us.

As part of the Research Communications team, you’ll engage our audiences through compelling content across our all our communications channels including PR, our website, blogs, video, social media and e-newsletters.

You’ll also support our fundraising teams with the information and content they need to create successful public fundraising appeals.

About you

You will need a degree in a relevant scientific discipline and a sound understanding of breast cancer or cancer in general.

You will be a confident communicator and have experience of translating complex scientific information for a lay audience, and you’ll come with fresh ideas for how Breast Cancer Now can bring its research to life.

You will be able to work effectively in a small, busy team and with colleagues across the organisation as well as our community of researchers across the UK and Ireland.
