An exciting opportunity for a Production Manager has arisen with a rapidly growing client based in Wolverhampton.
As production manager you will manage the manufacture of Aerospace high quality heat treated parts, to schedule, at an appropriate cost and to quality standards. You will be responsible and accountable for the on time delivery, acceptable quality, minimum cost, of components. In order to achieve the planned output of components, you will work closely with machine shop, maintenance, manufacturing engineering, material control and assembly to ensure effective utilisation of the available equipment.

Working with the department team leader and employees as well as manufacturing engineering you will strive to minimise costs within the quality standards. In addition to this you will work with the quality audit and inspection departments to assure continued compliance to the quality standards.

Along with your technical competence relating to the equipment and procedures used in the heat treatment and processing area you will be a leader for the shop. Possessing experience of lean manufacturing processes you will demonstrate improvement through lean, six sigma and continuous improvement

Key Expertise:
*Experience in a heat treatment and special processing environment
*Proactive approach including a willingness to seek out information
*Understanding of the importance of meeting production demands
*Ability to communicate effectively with teams and customers (internal / external)
*Aerospace Industry Experience
*Heat treatment operational experience is essential, also MAG particle and Dye penetrant processes, Chemical processing experience in Copper, Bronze, Phosphate, Nital Etch and various other chemical processes.
*Experience of NADCAP procedures is critical to the position
*Key knowledge of AMS2750 Rev 'E'
*Key knowledge of Boeing 'BAC' and all other customer specification requirements
*IT skills in Excel advantageous for data analysis
*Degree level or equivalent would be advantageous
