Excellent opportunity within a Top 10 firm to join their Restructuring & Insolvency division.
You'll contribute towards the overall department strategy and work closely with partners to achieve objectives. Manage large/complex portfolio of casework and motivate and develop junior staff within the team.

The role will encompass the following duties and responsibilities:
• Being the main contact on most of your cases for retained staff, business suppliers and other professionals. Ensure all parties fully understand their roles and be responsible for motivating them to progress matters efficiently
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all your cases in order to deal professionally with all enquiries
• Take a leading role in negotiations with asset/business buyers
• Confidently lead internal and external meetings
• Prepare logical and easy to read reports and correspondence on complicated/technical matters using house style
• Ensure all written work is free from error and presents a professional image of the firm
• Provide feedback on the progress of assignments to senior manager/partner, keeping them fully informed of all significant developments
• Keep all junior staff informed of developments that affect their work and assist with their career and technical development
• Develop internal contacts and be fully aware of services offered by other departments in order to maximise cross selling opportunities
• Where other departments are involved in cases, be responsible for keeping all parties informed and coordinating their efforts
• Responsible for preparing and presenting internal presentations
• Participate in internal group meetings
• Bring to partner's attention any business development opportunities you become aware of and use initiative to further develop sources of work
• Develop contacts with other professionals and work providers
• Bill cases on a timely basis, obtaining necessary approvals from creditors, banks, committees (as appropriate)
• Management of WIP and ensure completion of cases within budget

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) or commensurate professional experience and/or professionally qualified (CPI / JIEB or equivalent)
• Proven relevant experience and technical knowledge gained in a similar environment
• Solid proven insolvency experience, with the ability to manage own case load, including time intensive projects
• Competent at using MS Office and IPS
• People management skills and previous team management experience
• Good communication, organisational and presentation skills
• Able to build collaborative partnerships both within the firm and outside
• Strong commercial acumen with a focus on business development
• Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure with accuracy and focus
