Our client is seeking an experienced development coordinator with a natural technical drive who has skills gained within a food, pet food or event retail based manufacturing or supply chain or food retailer environment.

The suitable applicant will have a real passion for food and understand high quality ingredients and what drives consumers to buy specific savoury food.

Dimension of the Role

  • To deliver market leading Technical standards within our Supply base and the Customer network, to ensure clarity and consistency of all Technical procedures and the administration of New Product Development

Principal Objectives

  • Compilation and distribution of Customer and Supplier KPI reports to assist in the analysis of the data to drive enhanced performance
  • Liaison with customer and internal team to ensure that Technical and Development projects are delivered in an efficient and effective manner
  • To ensure that relationships with all customers are enhanced and that our activity 'vibrates’ towards the achievement of their Technical and New Product objectives
  • To manage the Complaints process and ensure that it is communicated and followed up with all parties
  • Maintain the Technical database and constantly reviewing the information to keep it up to date
  • Management of process and document control with wider team

Key Priorities

  • Ensure up to date copies of Supplier Technical certification are held within the business and that all supportive data is clear, concise and relevant
  • Effective and clear internal communication on project critical paths to ensure all members of the Team are aware of project status
  • Management of new product ranges and smooth handover to Supply Chain Coordinator
  • Development of relationships with Key Customer Technical teams through proactive communication and regular meetings
  • To ensure that all customer presentations are internally reviewed > 48 hours in advance of delivery
  • Driving a standard approach to external presentations in line with expectations
  • Production of customer contact reports < 24 hours from completion

Key Objectives

  • Timely creation and management of New Line Forms
  • Management of Customer on line specifications and supporting Technical libraries
  • Development and implementation of 6 monthly Technical database reviews
  • Completion of Quarterly Technical reviews with Key Customer to monitor both parties performance and present sound analysis to enhance opportunities
  • Assist in compiling market reviews, product presentations, sample submission forms or similar activities to the agreed standard
  • Management of the Customer/Supplier/Product database ensuring all data is correct and up to date
