A new vacancy has arisen for a finance assistant to join an established barristers chambers in the City. Due to a high volume of work, the successful candidate will work closely with the finance manager and fees clerk and provide support in all areas of the finance operation in chambers.
Daily duties will include assisting with supplier invoices, payments and petty cash account distribution as well as chasing and following up on overpayment of fees to barristers.
Further duties will include preparing quarterly VAT returns, quarterly rent invoices for barristers and daily banking of cheques.
Applicants will possess excellent communication skills coupled with strong attention to detail. The role would suit individuals with a strong mathematical background who are looking to gain knowledge of the fees and accounting aspects of working in a busy barristers chambers.
