Harris Hill are pleased to be working with a fantastic medical research, health charity who are looking for a Head of Communications on a fixed term basis of 6-9 months for 3.5 days per week.The charity are looking for someone to provide leadership in all of the marketing and communications work across the charity, working closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will develop and implement the brand, create audience focussed communications and implement the charity s marketing and communications strategy.Key responsibilities:- Provide leadership in delivering the charity's integrated strategic and operational plans.- Work effectively across teams, to provide cross-charity co-ordination and integration of communications activities that reflect the charity s strategic goals to underpin our three year plan.- Planning, developing and delivering communications initiatives with our supporters and partner groups.- Media strategy and thought leadership .- Celebrity strategy and high profile initiatives.In order to apply for this role, please see that you have the following skills:- A degree or equivalent level qualification, supported by relevant experience.- Demonstrable and extensive record of achievement at senior manager level in a high profile voluntary and/or public organisation.- Extensive experience of raising the profile and reach of an organisation through integrated campaigning.- High level knowledge and experience of broadcast, radio, print and digital media- Able to develop and implement plans to ensure broad strategic goals are achieved- Extensive (minimum five years ) brand development and strategic marketing experience across the whole marketing mix.- Evidence of building and managing relationships with key members of the media, influencing and relationship building with appropriate stakeholders to develop and participate in partnerships at all levels, handling the range of reporting, change management, planning and implementation; preferably to have a strong list of media & journalist contacts;- Excellent project management and organisational skills- Creativity and innovation in all areas of work- Demonstrable track record of providing direction and leadership in a way that inspires confidence and commitment and encourages ideas and initiative from others.For more details on this fantastic opportunity, please do get in touch.
