An in-depth, permanent Management Accountant position has arisen for an established company in Hampshire.

-To provide a customer focused management accounting service which can be used to inform and challenge management actions and decisions.

-To ensure that Operations managers use their resource in the most effective way, utilising surplus resource constructively and that budgets are adhered to.

-Carry out monthly management account routines for operations.

-Control and update group fixed asset registers and post monthly depreciation.

-Management and review of monthly payroll process.

-Provide support for the Operations Director, Finance Director and Financial Controller as required, including adhoc duties.

-Liaising closely with depot managers and business units to provide a comprehensive financial support service, including the provision of financial information and analysis to Senior Management.

-Ensure sound relationship management through regular visits to the Operations depots.

-To take the lead on analysis of Key Performance Indicators,

-To challenge depot forecasts to ensure that all relevant business information has been taken into account, and that reasons for variances are fully documented, communicated and understood.

-To produce monthly accounts in line with Operations requirements.

-To provide monthly commentary on Operations figures month by month, quarter by quarter or year by year, looking at correlations between figures.

-Formulation of financially sound and accurate business plans, presenting alternative financial options whilst maintaining corporate values and operational guidelines

-Assist in the closing of the Annual Accounts, supporting the business units where necessary.

-To assist with the assessment on the capital spend for the year and the impact for the following year’s program on a rolling basis.

-Preparation of the annual budgets for operations.

-Ensure that senior Operations managers are aware and take account of the financial implications of business plans, budgets, forecasts, tenders and any subsequent variations to these.

Assist in development and implementation of new and existing financial systems.

To assist with a financial review of all tenders throughout the bid/tendering cycle.

Carry our monthly management account routines for operations.

Control and update group fixed asset registers and post monthly depreciation.

Maintaining and reconciling Fixed asset register in excel and Xeres.

Posting of monthly depreciation charge.

Management and review of monthly payroll process.

Review payroll on a monthly basis.

Provide holiday cover for the monthly payroll process.

Take responsibility for all reporting from payroll in line with business requirements.

Coordinate with Financial Controller and HR Manager to ensure that the payroll process runs efficiently and accurately.
