A challenging and rewarding opportunity to join this Top 10 firm in their Global Mobility Tax team for a suitably qualified Tax Professional

You will cover the following areas in this role:
• Be responsible for the day to day compliance on your own client portfolio which will be overseen by a manager / senior manager on the team.
• Be responsible for the co-ordination and management of overseas tax compliance work within your portfolio.
• Assisting with the annual tax return cycle for your client portfolio, including:
• Preparation / review of tax return information requests;
• Preparation of more complex returns / review of returns by more junior members of the team;
• Sending returns to clients for signature; and
• Tracking the tax return progress with the client manager.
• Help manage the modified payroll process along with the client manager. This will include preparation / review of payroll calculations and liaison with the internal payroll team and the client.
• Assist with the arrival & departure briefings for assignees including the preparation and submission of HMRC forms. Lead briefings for assignees with straight forward tax affairs.
• Assist with client queries, as required.
• Dealing with ad hoc client advisory and planning issues as they arise on the client portfolio.
• Pro-actively identifying tax planning opportunities.
• Supporting business development activities by assisting with targeting, scoping meetings and proposals.
• Help manage the billing process with the client manager, including WIP analysis, fee scoping, management of intra-firm invoices and budgeting.
• Assist with the training of more junior members of the team.

To be considered, you will need to demonstrate the following
• Qualified CTA, ACA or equivalent
• Relevant expat tax experience, including involvement in tax returns, arrival / departure briefings and modified payroll work.
• Strong team player who will also act as a positive role model to the rest of the team.
• Excellent communication skills; both oral and written.
• Practical experience of using software systems in the preparation of tax returns.
• Adaptable, organised with a commercial and creative approach.
• Ability to exercise judgement and work without close supervision.
• Proactively manage existing client relationships and to develop new relationships.
• Ability to demonstrate and show an appreciation of risk management issues.
• Ability to contribute to business proposals and to bring opportunities to the attention of the senior members of the team
• Flexible; ‘pitching in’ to support team, some travelling when required and working overtime when necessary.
