Do you have in-depth knowledge of developing SSRS, stored procedures using T-SQL and performance tuning/testing?

Have you got experience with Stakeholder engagement in terms of gathering/analysing requirements?

Have you got experience working across multiple sites or on multiple projects?

Have you got hands on experience with: Table Partitioning, Advanced Error handling, Common Table Expression (CTE) and LINQ, SQL Queries, User Defined Functions, back up/restores and disaster recovery?

Position Title:SQL Developer
Office:RMC
Reports to: Finance Applications Manager
Hours of Work:9.00am to 5.30pm
Salary:60 - 70K (dependant on experience)

The purpose of this role is to gather requirements, design and build data sets using T-SQL and SSRS reports for various business units.

Applicants should be prepared to gain an awareness of business process and be able, in time, to add value to reporting solutions design.

Key Duties

Requirements Gathering
* Liaise with key stakeholders in the business to understand, document and confirm requirements. (25% of daily tasks)

SSRS report writing

* Report writing based on requirements.
* Data analyse
* Develop complex stored procedures
* Liaising with project managers to ensure key milestones are met.
* Testing to ensure data accuracy and quality.
* Following style guides and templates.
* Designing reporting solutions.
* Performance testing to ensure code efficiency. (65% of daily tasks)

SSRS report support

* Debugging existing reports and applying fixes as required.
* Assisting with user queries around discrepancies and functionality. (10% of daily tasks)

Essential

* Advanced understanding of SQL using MS SQL server 2008 R2 and above.
* Proficient in T-SQL Stored Procedures, functions, views and statements
* Advanced understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services from SQL 2008 R2 and above using the following:

o Matrix and Tables
o Parameters
o Drill through
o Charts
o Complex Expressions
o Subscriptions

* Good understanding of MS Office products.
* Troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Excellent presentation, requirements gathering facilitation skills.

Desirable
*Working knowledge of SSIS including Merges, Bulk Inserts and Conditional splits etc.
* Working knowledge of Tableau or Qlikview.
