I am currently working on an exciting 12 Month FTC for a housing officer based in Greater Manchester. They are offering a Salary up to £21,290 (FTE up to £26,613). This is a full time position due to start ASAP.

The role is to provide an efficient and locally responsive estate and neighbourhood management service to customers reaching the highest standard of customer care.

Duties Involve:

-Ensuring estate inspections are carried out on a regular basis
-Be responsible for (and supervise) contractors providing estate services to support their compliance with contract and specification and attend customer meetings in relation to estate services and service charges.
-Carrying out starter tenancy visits in accordance with Policies and Procedures
-To ensure that customer participation and engagement initiatives are undertaken to improve satisfaction amongst customers, allowing for the opportunity for feedback on all scheme services.
-To lead and manage several local neighbourhood plans ensuring customers are fully consulted and involved in any proposed changes to their services, scheme or tenancy.
-To be responsible for liaising with partner organisations/authorities over general tenancy management issues, and monitor services provided by partners to ensure all actions are carried out within a timely manner.
-To liaise with other departments on matters relating to service charges and Allocations to ensure void loss is minimised by ensuring sign-ups are carried out to tight deadlines.
-To be responsible for preparing, monitoring and authorising service charge budgets and estate expenditure in accordance with the Group's Standing Orders.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience of Housing Management in a Local Authority or Registered Provider setting, a background in the management of a varied portfolio of properties and the ability to manage conflict in a positive way. You will also need to have experience of tenant involvement, community development issues and current knowledge of all aspects of housing management and housing legislation.
