Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a truly commercial Business Partner for a very successful and instantly recognisable retail business based in Manchester.
They have outperformed their competitors over the past few years and will continue to do so by driving their strategic plan, delivering further improvements and changes that will make a real impact on the whole business. This is a truly value-add role that works closely with the executive management team.
The role holder will be tasked to provide insight, financial support and challenge to the Divisional Managing Director aiding them in making sound conclusions following your analysis. You will have to deliver clear plans, budgets & forecasts for your supported Division. In addition, you will lead the development and implementation of financial strategies within the regions by providing a business partnering service initiating insightful MI in order to optimise financial performance within the region.
The commercial and insightful analysis will be relating to store performance for the role holder to provide decision support and add value through business partnering. You will also lead cross-finance initiatives, improving control, reporting, insight and driving cross-divisional improvements.

The successful applicant will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified coming from a similar role and being able to demonstrate your commercial awareness to enable a focus on both revenue and margins to really drive commercial benefit and add value to the financials. Experience within the retail, FMCG, multisite, logistics or distribution sectors is desirable.
You will have strong business partnering, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills and in particular the ability to communicate with senior level individuals. Focussed on delivering specific objectives, you will be proactive, dynamic and self-motivated with a desire to find and deliver improvements. In addition you will have the ability to work independently and together with other personnel both finance and non-finance.
You will have a creative and innovative approach to problem solving and analysis; delivery orientated - able to work in pressurised environments, meet multiple deadlines and manage own priorities.
You will also be able to demonstrate business acumen and ability to gain knowledge across the breadth of a variety of functions. Good communication skills - able to translate financial information and create successful business relationships. You will also be able to take a 'big picture' view with demonstrable internal consultancy and influencing skills, while possessing a keen eye for the detail.
