Love back-end development, devops/LAMP admin, a bit of front-end dabbling and leading projects but can’t find a role out there with that kind of freedom?  One of Bristol’s best creative digital agencies are looking for someone to take a key role in the development team delivering website and platform projects for some globally renowned clients.

What skills you'll need?

Core skills centre around PHP, MySQL, LAMP admin, CMS (one of; Wordpress, Magento, Shopify, Concrete5 etc), Laravel / MVC, HTML, CSS, Javascript and GIT.  It’s expected that you’d be able to maintain LAMP servers and take a lead role on new and existing projects of a wide range of sizes.  They’re looking for someone who is curious about new tech and can learn and implement quickly.  You should be comfortable in front of clients and be able to assist with the planning, estimating and end-to-end delivery of projects.

What you'll be doing?

You’ll be able to help build CMS led websites for a range of clients alongside the front-end developer and creative design team whilst also getting to grips with their Laravel based application.  From the start you will be able to lead a new platform build project and take it to market as well as a flagship site build with a huge household brand.  There’s going to be elements of dev/ops too with another new solution in the pipeline; no day will ever be dull!  They’ll look to you to suggest and evaluate new tech that’s fit for purpose and you’ll be given time to do this in a supportive, fun environment where everyone genuinely enjoys working together.

What you'll get in return for your talents?

There’s plenty of great perks within this role including generous holidays, pension, private health etc but the major reward within this role is to get to work on some big name client projects within a sociable, positive team where you’re really valued and job satisfaction is high.  There’ll be opportunities for training (courses, conferences, events etc) and it’s likely that over the time that they’d look for you to mentor/coach other developers.
