We are currently looking to recruit a Tenancy Enforcement Team Manager on an interim basis (8 – 12 months) to cover a maternity leave. For this position we are looking for someone who is completely passionate about what they do, is that you?

What your role will be

In your new role you will be managing a team of 3 Tenancy Enforcement Managers and 2 Trainee Tenancy Enforcement Managers who agile work across the South of England delivering services to 12,000 to 14,000 properties and the neighbourhoods in which they are situated.  You’ll be supervising casework relating to tenancy enforcement, community safety and all other issues relating to the Tenancy Enforcement Team. Using your specialist knowledge you will oversee the preparation of court cases, minimising the need for external legal advice, ensuring a value for money approach in all that you do. You will need a flexible approach and whilst working out of hours is very rare, you will be required to respond to the needs of the business.  Willingness to travel in this role is essential given the diverse nature of the stock you will be managing and travel to any of our hub offices in Preston, Sheffield or Leeds may be occasionally required. You will provide direct support to the Operations Manager, assisting with budget control, strategy implementation, managing performance targets and analysing performance data. Part of your role will be networking with other agencies and internal teams and colleagues, building strong relationships and negotiating working partnerships.  

Your background

To succeed in this role, you will have an in depth understanding of all aspects of social housing, working with current legislation, laws and have extensive knowledge of court rulings and procedures.  In particular you will have an excellent working knowledge of the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003, the ASB, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and the 1985, 1988 and 1996 Housing Acts (as amended).

The ideal candidate for this position will be passionate about what they do, achieving goals and pushing your team forward whilst developing their skills. Candidates who lead from the front, will do well in this role. To apply for this position you should be educated to degree standard or have a formal qualification within the housing sector. A proven history managing a team of community safety officers or tenancy enforcement officers/managers is necessary.
