Role Purpose:
To develop content marketing and engagement programmes to achieve best in class content for our customers. To act as a digital editor/content creative and digital communications lead (Email, SMS, Display, Social Media).

Key Accountabilities:

  • Become responsible for creating high-quality content for the business
  • Manage our digital communications strategy and implementation
  • Manage our Social Media communications strategy and implementation
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and 3rd party agencies to create engaging communication
  • Work in accordance with the Brand strategy, following editorial guidelines and the editorial direction set by the Marketing Director
  • Use data (search and social) as the starting point for creating and optimising content to build a returning audience
  • Project manage and take complete ownership of content development and deadlines
  • Create content marketing strategies to support the content plans with engaging content that inspires our audiences - videos/infographics/online PR/articles/product reviews/surveys/blogger events/social
  • Curate, commission and create SEO-savvy web copy and adapt written information to a digestible format to be used online and via social media channels
  • Devise Social Media Strategy to developing Social Media platform engagement; building engaging social content plans on our networks

Essential Experience:

  • Experience managing dynamic email marketing strategies targeting different customer segments
  • Experience building html emails
  • Experience with targeting Electrical, Industrial and MRO through digital media (desirable)
  • Experience in digital/social media publishing and email marketing
  • Analytical and commercially minded
  • A-Level or graduate calibre with previous writing experience

Technical Skills:

  • An understanding of both B2B and B2C and what matters to them, when it comes to creating engaging content
  • HTML & CSS coding ability and understanding of CMS systems
  • Excellent understanding of SEO/SEM
