Senior Business Development Manager
This is a key role within the developing structure of this leading Law firm. The role of Senior BD Manager is covering 2 practice groups within the business, leading a team of 7 (via 2 direct reports, BD Managers who in turn will have 5 BD Exec's reporting through to them). The role will be to drive the direction of the practice groups by working closely with the relevant Partner's and teams to identify their goals and targets and influencing them as to how best to realise that end result.
The successful individual will be closely involved with the creation of the strategy for the practice groups and then ensuring that the proper allocation of resource and time is given to implementing it through the team. You will have significant man management responsibility to ensure the appropriate development of the BD Manager's as well as ensuring they are giving proper focus to the development of their BD Executives. You will be working closely with the marketing, communications and brand teams to ensure that a consistent and best presented message is going out to the market in accordance with your agreed strategy. You will work closely with the Client Development team to ensure that the appropriate support is being provided to your key clients and that the relevant messages are taken away from that process to be applied to the wider market. A key goal for this role is to work on creating closer synergies and ties between the different locations and practice groups, to ensure that lessons are being shared, cross selling is being supported and opportunities to improve relationships across the board are being taken.

You will need to be able to demonstrate significant experience as a BD Manager or Senior Manager within the legal sector and be able to evidence how your approach has led to greater exposure to the market and increase in client share and therefore revenue.
