The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of all media channels and have the ability to keep up to date with all media trends and any developments. The Account Director therefore must be a strong leader and be highly motivated to get the most out of their team when it comes to creating the most innovative campaigns.
This is a strategic role therefore the ideal candidate needs vast agency-side experience and a proven track record of client leadership, campaign planning and implementation. The ideal candidate will need to be hands on and not be afraid to challenge the direction of campaigns and challenge clients.
- Manage strong relationships with major clients to be able to understand their requirements, pressure points and be able to provide commercially viable solutions
- Understand and deliver the client’s campaign objectives
- Guide and motivate the team to ensure a fast paced, energetic environment is present
- Report to and suggest improvements to the management team based on feedback
- Ensure top training and development areas are provided to team members
- Managing the financial process effectively
Skills and attributes:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in media strategy, having managed a team
- Strong understanding of all areas of offline media, and how it can interlink with digital solutions
- Enthusiastic towards client services and promoting the agency successfully
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong and confident at managing budgets
- Confident at pitching and presenting
