Tax Assist Accountant

This role will be working as a Tax Assist Accountants which will be a national network of accountants who are experts in helping small business owners and self-employed people with their tax and accountancy needs. The Practice Accountant will be joining our friendly, supportive, in this award-winning practice, you’ll be responsible for providing tax and accountancy services to individuals, sole traders and limited companies. That’ll include preparing and completing accounts, balance sheets and profit and loss, in addition to submitting corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns to HMRC, including the production of trial balance with whom you’ll communicate directly. Managing your own portfolio of SME clients, as Practice Accountant you’ll also:
•ensure compliance with companies accounts disclosure requirements
•produce letters, quotations and invoices whilst handling client queries
•supervise preparation of VAT returns, book-keeping and payroll
•prepare business tax computations and self-assessment
•supervise support staff.
Either part or fully ACCA-qualified or, as a minimum, fully AAT or ATT-qualified, you must have a proven practice track record, underpinned by strong tax knowledge. Able to complete and finalise the accounts and tax returns for sole traders, you’re confident and comfortable with direct client contact, partnerships and limited companies, you’ll also need strong IT skills, although we’ll provide training on our in-house software.
