Banking/Cashier Manager

T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Banking/Cashier Manager for a major Birmingham based company. At a time of exciting growth and change within the business this a great opportunity to join the company in this newly created role where you will be able to manage your team for a cash handling service business operation from within a shared service centre. Competitive salary £30,000 to £35,000 plus Benefits Package.

As Banking/Cashier Manager you will ensure that cash collected by sites is well controlled and Service Level Agreements are maintained. As well as supervising the team’s day to day activities, ensuring that cash receipts are recognised accurately, weekly management information is produced to assist with operational profit protection activities.

Key responsibilities of the Banking/Cashier Manager will include:

  • Manage relationships with external service providers such as Banks and Cash Collection companies.
  • Review and amend accounting processes for operational changes to ensure that all revenue, cash assets and liabilities are recognised in line with relevant accounting standards
  • Review of journals prepared by the Site Banking Team.
  • Provide tea targets to minimise unallocated cash, lost cash and maximise profit.
  • Ensure KPI’s and OPI’s are met and reported.
  • Build relationships as you engage with Business Units, identify and meet business requirements, provide an excellent standard of service.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers such as Banks and Cash Collection companies.

To be successful in the role of Banking/Cashier Manager you will have the following skills and experience:

  • You will have previous experience of successfully managing a team in a multi-sit banking / cash accounting role within the retail or similar sector.
  • Experience of double entry accounting required for site banking transaction and relevant accounting standards.
  • Ideally you will have worked within a shared serviced centre environment.
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables and V Lookups)
  • Possess the ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities and create innovative approaches to work related issues.
  • Well educated, ideally with a professional qualification such as AAT.

Based in Birmingham this position is commutable from locations such as Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Halesowen, Stourbridge, Bromsgrove, Walsall, Redditch, West Bromwich, Solihull.
