Reed Accountancy, are working closely with a Wolverhampton based service business who are seeking to recruit a Payroll Technical Specialist to support our Payroll function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with highly developed payroll experience to join a well established and professional team

We will need to you take responsibility for providing a customer-focused technical payroll
service to the organisation ensuring that all statutory, legislative and organisational requirements are met.

You’l have the skills to perform regular and accurate reconciliation of both internal and statutory items so we need you to have an in-depth knowledge of all statutory regulations, together with extensive experience of making both in-year and Year End returns to HMRC. You will be able to understand, review and interpret any changes to current legislation, in consultation with the Payroll Services Manager. You will also be able to identify, analyse and implement changes to organisational processes and procedures.

As a deputy to the Payroll Services Manager you will require strong technical and people skills as you will need to develop and maintain good working relationships with both internal customers and third parties.

As this is a stand-alone role within the team you will be able to work on your own initiative to set deadlines, both in day-to-day processes and specialised projects, whilst also being a strong team player.
