Responsible for the day to management of the training team within the IM Division including performance management, training and coaching to ensure Best in Class training delivery. You will identify areas of opportunities and create business plans to drive the team to proactively enhance the clients brand within channels, retailers and with key stakeholders to ensure that the client's business objectives are met. Working alongside the National Training Manager, you will build and maintain effective working relationships with the relevant teams within HQ to ensure all areas of opportunity are explored and covered. You will devise innovative ways to demonstrate ROI for your team and future development plans in line with the business’ focus.

Main Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

Line Management

  • Day to Day management of the Training Team
  • Conducting accompaniments to ensure the Best in Class Training
  • To lead all relevant reviews for the team and ensure timeliness in their completion
  • Offering direction and support to the team
  • Managing the workflow of the team
  • Ensure that current and correct training focus is being delivered by the team
  • Proactive approach to driving the business forward and identifying development areas
  • A function of this role will be to identify and create a strategic plan for new business development and opportunities within the training division
  • Management of three specific roles within the training team, creation and assignment of clear defined objectives
  • The ability to demonstrate ROI on the training activity and benefit to the client's sales and market share


  • Devise and practice innovative ways to build knowledge and demonstrate ROI for our training
  • Creation of TNA’s for each member of the team and create development pathways
  • To take direction from the Line Manager to ensure that training delivery is at the highest standard
  • To embrace new product launches and ensure reports are in-line with the needs of business
  • Managing and developing the training delivery of all of the Trainers
  • To feedback new methods of learning to line management to ensure continual best practice
  • To ensure that training is delivered in-line with the focus of the client.


  • Ensure reporting data is received from the team in a timely and accurate fashion
  • To populate relevant reporting system with relevant information
  • Assist line management with any other reporting requirements
  • Demonstrate ROI

General and Administration

  • To feedback territory/network knowledge to ensure efficiencies are at an optimum
  • To be considered a professional with all stakeholders and have the desire to continually add value

  • Operate with the set guidelines of the role and best practices of Blue Square Marketing

Location North
Working Days: Monday-Friday
Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 Dependant on Experience + 10% Bonus, Company Car, Mobile Office.
