The role will be divided between the management of a Corporate Tax portfolio and assisting the Directors with tax advisory projects. The Corporate Tax portfolio consists of a range of owner-managed businesses, corporate groups and professional partnerships. Their clients operate across a wide range of industries and in terms of size range from £10 to £40million turnover. You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of compliance returns, billing and WIP management, as well as advisory work for your own portfolio. You will continually look for ways to improve your departmental processes and procedures, and working with a wide Tax team, drive the implementation of these across the teams. You will provide support to the Directors on various advisory projects, which can include planning for entrepreneurs, working with the Corporate Finance team on transactional tax projects (on acquisitions, disposals and restructuring, for instance) and group reorganisations. You will be expected to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and liaise on tax compliance issues, assist with the supervision and coaching of the team and to support the Directors on more complex technical assignments and advisory work, ensuring continuous best service for your clients & contacts and your colleagues. You will need to be ACCA, ACA, ATT qualified or equivalent to be a successful applicant.
