Our client, one of the UK’s leading composite insurance and financial services companies, seeks an experienced Claims Handler to join the central Bristol based specialist High Net Worth team.

About the Role:

The high net worth division is going from strength to strength and as a High Net Worth Claims Handler, you will be required to investigate and process property related claims within limits of authority and in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. You will apply criteria to prevent los s and fraud to deliver fair outcomes and first class customer service. Other duties will include;

  • Compile, process and record information relating to potential new claims, liaising with Exec’s, policyholders and third parties to ensure the facts of the claims are established in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Investigate, assess and evaluate claims within limits of authority in order to prevent loss and fraud and appointing suppliers and experts as required
  • Make and communicate decisions regarding policy cover, liability and quantum in line with policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and SLA’s
  • Build and maintain relationships with underwriting and other parts of the business to ensure the effective delivery of objectives and a first class customer service
  • Identify, resolve and escalate complaints and breaches as appropriate, in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Check, audit and provide feedback on claims files and processes, revising estimates as required ensuring a proactive and consistent approach in line with policies, procedures and reserving philosophy
  • Coach, train and guide colleagues on more complex claims, technical and customer service areas to improve their knowledge and support effective decision making
  • Deliver technical support to other areas of the business
  • Deputise for the Team Leader and Senior Technician as required

Key Skills/Experience Required:

In order to be considered for the role of HNW Claims Handler, you must possess the following;

  • High Net Worth, Personal Lines or Property claims handling experience
  • Experienced in a customer focused role
  • Professional and effective telephone, negotiation and communication skills
  • An innovative, and proactive
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • The ambition to drive your career forward
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) to include English and Maths at grade A - C

Salary/Benefits Information:

Salary up to £26,000 p.a depending on experience
