-The role, is responsible for developing relationships with, and underwriting policies via, brokers based within the region. This is an exciting opportunity to become a new business development underwriter for Art and Private Client products within a highly successful team. This award winning business is growing and career opportunities both within the branch and throughout are excellent, should individuals demonstrate the skills and success in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:
-Grow Art and Private Client business by selling and underwriting a range of products (high net worth household, motor and fine art)
-Lead driving new business opportunities for the team by building a strong relationship with the individuals there and delivering a super service to them
-Work closely with other team members based in Manchester in support of the overall team objectives, including supporting retaining existing business
-Find new scheme opportunities through a deep understanding of the brokers' business
-Through internal coaching model, ART (Attitude, Relationship, Trust), seek to continually improve your broker interactions for the benefit of the organisation and the broker

Person Specification
-A proven track record in business development and underwriting in the local insurance market is essential. High Net Worth private client experience would be an advantage but is not essential
-A graduate (2.1 or above or equivalent) and have already made good progress towards the ACII qualification
-High amount of drive, self-motivation and determination to achieve results
-Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management and customer focus
-Clear ability to think on your feet and make intelligent, innovative business decisions
-Good influencing and leadership skills
-Team player with high work rate
-Outgoing and confident, enjoys getting to know new people
-Car owner and full driving licence.
