We are a rapidly growing Birmingham based SME with a blue chip client base. We are seeking an experienced Part-Qualified Accountant to bring gravitas to our management team and guide us through our growth.

The role is extremely varied, and requires a candidate with management experience and self confidence and the ability to work independently. Our day to day accounting is conducted in house but we utilise the cloud based accounting services of our auditors. This structure will continue in the short to medium term whilst we focus on managing the rapid growth opportunities in front of us. You will be keen to embrace the opportunity to play a key part in this growth and want to establish yourself as part of the senior management team in due course. The cloud arrangements will remain under review and maybe brought in house later. The successful individual will be one who could ultimately manage an inward migration and absorption of the whole into our accounting function.

The role will include:

  • Managing the Order Delivery Team
  • Sales and Purchase ledger duties
  • Expense approval and processing
  • Managing payments to suppliers and invoice authorisation
  • Monitoring project costs
  • Product and customer pricing models tracking and sign off
  • Leading cost reduction and optimisation initiatives
  • Cash flow monitoring projections and reporting

Managing the cloud providers outputs of:

  • Nominal ledger (journals/accruals etc)
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • VAT returns
  • Monthly management accounts
  • PAYE
