GCSE Maths Tutor - Manchester base with North West travel
We have an exciting opportunity for a GCSE Maths Tutor to deliver learning opportunities that are practical in nature, develop employability and social skills and enable learners to achieve accredited qualifications in Maths up to GCSE level. You will be responsible for managing and delivering learning opportunities that engage and motivate young people, aged 16-19, and adults to progress and achieve. You will support learners to overcome barriers to learning as some of them will have social or learning disadvantages and may have had negative experiences of learning and education. Within this role you will plan and deliver a structured scheme of work and develop lesson plans, conduct participant interviews, induction, initial assessments and regular progress reviews. You will identify realistic development routes and learning priorities along with encouraging learning and timely achievements of the agreed aims and SMART objectives. As the ideal candidate you will have experience of delivering GCSE Maths qualifications and a teaching qualification equivalent to PGCE/CertEd or Level 5 Certificate in Education and Training. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this position due to the travel.
