An Analyst Programmer is required to join a new formed team based in Sutton Coldfield. The Analyst Programmer will be required to take an active role in the re-platforming and modernising of an existing legacy product suite.

As a part of this goal the Analyst Programmer will be responsible for:

• Developing robust, scalable, high availability API solutions using the .Net framework

• Utilising Continuous Integration to deploy, host and maintain quality software solutions

• Participating in SCRUM ceremonies; contributing to software planning and design

• Working closely with the Products Owners to refine user stories in-line with stakeholder requirements

The ideal candidate for the Analyst Programmer position will have

• Demonstrable experience developing .Net applications in either C# or VB.Net.

• Experience creating WebAPI, REST or WCF Web Services

• SQL Server T-SQL skills with an excellent understanding of relational database design

• Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks

• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

• Knowledge and experience of writing unit tests and mocking.

• Understanding of SOLID design principles.

• Ability to work within established coding standards and tools.

• Previous experience developing within a SCRUM team.

It would be highly beneficial to have:

• Experience of Microservice architecture – Windows services, REST API

• An understanding of MongoDB and other similar database architectures.

• Experience with test driven development.

• Good understanding of Software Design Patterns.

• Knowledge and/or experience of GIT, Octopus Deploy and Team City.
