Salary: £40,000 - £60,000
A forward thinking and expanding Insurer in the Bristol area is currently seeking a Compliance Manager to join their successful organisation.
This individual will work closely with all of the businesses areas and the support divisions of Speciality Risk to identify, analyse, co-ordinate and implement regulatory changes.
Reviewing and updating Group-wide compliance policies, procedures, assessing and delivering training needs, and assistance with general project and oversight activities
Reviewing, updating, implementing and the ongoing development of European and Group-wide compliance policies, procedures and manuals
Assisting in identifying, analysing, co-ordinating and implementing regulatory changes across the business by assessing, developing, preparing and delivering compliance training sessions
Assessing and evaluating compliance with regulatory obligations and group policies.
Daily monitoring of activity to identify possible compliance breaches, taking remedial action where necessary and assessing and reporting on implications to the business
To be point of contact for technical guidance, contractual issues and policy interpretation issues with regards to compliance.
Conduct regular 1:1's with direct reports and formal performance appraisals to review performance objectives and formulate individual training & development plans.
Previous experience within a similar role within the Finance and/or the Insurance Industry
Strong regulatory compliance, investigation or audit experience gained within a financial services, legal or regulatory environment demonstrating solid understanding of FCA rules
Strong technical knowledge and thorough knowledge and understanding of FCA rules and regulations, and the ability to extract relevant guidance and current regulatory issues
