Children’s Residential Support Workers & Senior Residential Support Workers
We are currently seeking Passionate Children’s Residential Support Workers & Senior Residential Support Workers for the Oldbury/Smethwick area of West Midlands.
Working for an independent provider specialising in providing care and support for children and Young People age 10-18 who may have challenging behaviours, autism or ADHD, these children may also have suffered neglect, trauma, sexual exploitation or abuse. You will be an excellent role model, have massive empathy, patience, and the dedication to give to our young people who we support. This is a very rewarding job however can be very challenging to.
The Children we support need consistency and someone they can trust. As their Residential Support Worker you will take them to school, collect them from school, do activities with them, take them to dance classes’/football practice or contact visits etc.
You will be involved in planning their care, carrying out risk assessments and ensuring that they are kept safe at all times and feel secure in their home. We have a team of experts on hand and work with external agencies with the aim to working with our young people to go on to achieve independence.
Rates of pay:
£15,000 - 18,000 per annum, plus sleep in allowance (depending on experience) - Full Training Provided
£18,000 - 22,000 per annum plus sleep in allowance (depending on experience) with a minimum of one years’ experience and ideally with Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People or working towards.

Essential Requirements to become a Children’s Residential Support Workers & Senior Support Workers
You must have a full UK driving licence.
You must have at least 6 months’ experience of working with 10-18 year olds or young adults.
Hours of work
This position will involve working on a rota including weekdays, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep ins.
We offer both internal and external training which includes an induction programme, Diploma Level 3, Behaviour Management, Autism, Attachment Disorder, Risk Assessment, Safeguarding, Child Sexual Exploitation, Self-Harm, Health & Nutrition, Independent Living Skills and Leadership and Management Development Programme (Level 5) to name a few.
