Job description

Main purpose of role

We are currently looking for an Experienced Business Development Manager to be part of our highly successful sales team within Alcumus SafeContractor. The successful candidate will be able to deliver an annual new business sales target through the creation, development and conversion of an active sales pipeline.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the SafeContractor product proposition and the market need it fulfils
  • Working closely with the Business Development Sales Manager, develop an annual territory sales plan
  • Work closely with marketing to deliver relevant campaigns focused on lead generation
  • Assume full accountability for the qualification and follow-up of active leads to build a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Lead all communications with prospective clients to maximise new business conversion from a volume and value perspective
  • Build strong relationships across the SafeContractor business to ensure effective mobilisation of new business
  • Build strong relationships and product knowledge across the Alcumus Group to facilitate the identification of cross selling opportunities both non-SafeContractor products to existing SafeContractor prospects and SafeContractor products to non-SafeContractor prospects
  • Meet and exceed new business targets on a quarterly basis
  • Meet and exceed KPI targets to ensure desirable revenue generation and behaviours that are consistent with a sustainable business
  • Become a key member of the sales team, encouraging effective teamwork in order that team targets can be met and exceeded on a sustainable basis
