Computer Science Teacher Training
Computer Science specialists required in West Midlands
Shireland Teaching School Alliance, working with the University of Warwick and Hays Education, are seeking high quality Computer Science specialists who aspire to train to teach. Our belief is that through emersion within a school environment trainee teachers will have continual opportunities to relate theory into practice by working alongside outstanding practitioners.
Our unique approach allows trainee teachers to develop the skills and self-awareness needed to become outstanding and remain outstanding, giving them an advantage in their future teaching careers. To be eligible to apply you must be a Computer Science specialist with a British honours degree and at least Grade C in GCSE English Language and Mathematics.
If you are successful in gaining a salaried training placement will earn a salary of between £16,000 to £21,000 whilst you train depending on the subject. You will be employed as an unqualified teacher by the school on a one year contract, tuition fees will be paid for by the Alliance. You will need to fund the PGCE fee. For high quality trainees, you may be eligible for a tax-free bursary of up to £30,000 whilst you train. This is dependent on subject and degree classification.
