Our client who is extremely established in the travel industry are currently looking for a full time Japan Product Executive. The successful candidate will assist the Product Manager in creating, developing and managing all aspects of product within, you will be passionate about providing our clients with an experience that exceeds expectations.

In return you will receive a salary of £22,200 - £25,200 plus Discretionary annual bonus, working the hours of 9am to 6pm and an excellent benefits package.

The Key duties of the post are as follows.

You will be fundamental in assisting the Product team to ensure that everything we sell - from hotels, experiences and guides to our website itineraries
A key part of the Japan Product Executive role will be the communication of product to the Sales Team
You must also ensure that our product is commercially viable by keeping an eye on our competitors, maintaining positive relationships with our suppliers in Japan and paying careful attention to our pricing to ensure that our clients pay a fair price.
Principal duties Research & fact checking Maintaining accuracy of product details in our database
Sourcing & researching new commercially-viable products Analysing competition in UK (and other key markets) offering travel to Japan Delivery
Loading individual products (hotels, guides, experiences etc) accurately in our booking system database
Keeping standard itineraries up-to-date in our booking system
Creating client-facing resources
Maintaining website itineraries
Assisting with delivery of brochure content (text and images) as required
Managing external sales channels: , and others
Packaging special offers for website and marketing use Communication
Managing the administration of freelance guides (contracts, pricing and booking systems)
Attending occasional UK travel industry events
Meeting suppliers in Japan during overseas research trips Review
Providing support to Sales Teams by way of answering questions and problem solving
Monitoring client feedback, analyse results and action as necessary
Assisting with client complaint handling
Liaising with our Japan Operations Team on operational performance of products Requirements You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Skills Required
Significant personal experience of travel within Japan
Experience of working in the travel industry & knowledge of the UK travel market
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Ability to work alone on projects and display high levels of initiative and motivation
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Ability to identify improvements needed and proactively implement change
Excellent presentation & writing skills
An understanding as to what makes exciting, commercially-viable product
Attention to detail - a desire to get things right
Good mathematics skills and an understanding of mark-up, margins etc Research and Training Visits to Japan for research, quality control and liaison with our Operations Team based in Nagoya will take place as and when required.
