Rail Engineer - North

We’re looking for a customer-focused Rail Engineer covering our Northern Region to kick start their careers in a rewarding, high-performing, international company.

What does the role involve?
The role of Rail Engineer is to pro-actively develop specifications and secure Hilti technical solutions on rail construction projects by working directly with engineers and designers within the rail industry.
The Rail Engineer will focus on selected rail construction projects within a discrete geographical territory and will aim to maximise Hilti’s sales potential by providing a high standard of engineering service to consultants and contractors associated with these projects.
You will build strong relationships and loyalty with engineers and designers, provide technical support and engineering services, plan and prioritise to achieve & exceed engineering targets and support the quality control and risk avoidance function of the Hilti Engineering team in a professional manner and to maintain the integrity of the company.
Two thirds of our people work directly with our customers, either in sales or in our various technical services

What you need is:
- A graduate degree in Civil, Structural or mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
- Relevant experience in the construction / rail industry (on site or design office)
- Full and clean driving license approved for permanent use by the UK Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority
- Be living (or willing to relocate) to the North of England
- Be prepared to travel on business in the North of England & Scotland
