Great opportunity for a talented and ambitious mechanical engineer to join on a fast track to senior mechanical engineer at a time of growth for this market leading plc at the start of a major investment and expansion plan

As a mechanical engineer you will be Manchester based with occasional supplier and site visits as required. Essentially your role will be to calculate, size, select and specify the mechanical products/components, such as fans, pumps, heat exchangers, valves, silencers, compressors, engines, etc and to provide P&ID for the CAD team to produce the detail / manufacturing drawings. You will also create technical construction files, lead risk assessment, and produce technical data sheets. You will be expected to develop strong relationships with component/product/plant suppliers and ensure smooth supply and quality is maintained. Working closely with other departments including manufacturing/assembly to provide technical support and investigate/resolve production/client issues and run product improvements projects.

We are seeking talented and ambitious mechanically qualified design engineers, mechanical engineers, product engineers, project engineers or building services engineers, with experience gained in designing, calculating, selecting and specifying of mechanical components, products or systems for electro/mechanical applications/solutions, system, machinery or capital equipment. You should be competent with AutoCAD and qualified to HNC/D ideally Degree level in mechanical engineering or building services engineering.

Package to inc £35-40000 basic + bonus + flex benefits and up to 38 days holiday
