Commercial Manager (Sales/SCM/Procurement) - FMCG
Do you come from a commercial, supply chain, procurement or category background and have experience of managing an analytically-minded team?
Looking for flexible working in a full-time position or maybe part-time (25 hours minimum)?
If yes to the above, I have a fantastic opportunity with an established food manufacturer based in the south west of England.
Working with quality products within a recognised brand and leading international retailer.
If you are looking for a role which offers flexibility, support and a great working culture, this may be the role for you.
My client is a manufacturer of food-on-the-move products and baked goods for the convenience market. They continue to develop new and innovative products to enhance their range and, as such, have enjoyed solid growth within their market sector over the last few years. 2017 expects an even greater demand and they have a great opportunity for a Commercial Manager to come in and lead a small team and drive sales through increased product availability.
Key aspects of the role include;
- Day to day management of the Commercial team
- Managing each individual store’s inventory profile
- Using data analysis to improve product availability and reduce wastage
- Adjustment of the core range, identifying opportunities for new products or delisting ones with poor performance
- Controlling seasonal events
Ideally, you will have worked as a Commercial Manager, Procurement Manager or Category Manager with man-management responsibilities. Coming from food or FMCG will be highly advantageous due to the perishable nature of the products and you will need to provide examples of how you have increased sales through good supply chain management.
The salary package on offer will include a base of £30,000 (DOE & pro-rata for P/T), private health care and other company benefits. To be considered for the role, please apply with your latest CV which should clearly outline your suitability.
