The Position will produce and execute the company’s purchasing strategy and management of direct reports, to meet company targets cost savings, stock turn and product availability, and to contribute to the executive management of the company.

·This is a senior management position within the business to lead the company procurement function, managing and developing the team as well as a diverse sustainable supply chain across the UK and Ireland.

·Present a vision and develop a sourcing strategy to support their food and operational teams to be the most innovative, sustainable food business ensuring a first class delivery for our customers.

·Build supplier relationships at a strategic level across the catering supply chain to manage supply chain performance for both contracted and sub-contractors in support of the self-delivery model for the UK and Ireland.

·Drive commercial value across the catering category to achieve budgeted targets

·in-line with the business’ growth strategy, driving change and best in class procurement sourcing.

·Develop stakeholder engagement both with internal stakeholders across our business and supplier base in line with our Food Ideals and values.

·Promote and drive sustainable supply chain initiatives in line with sustainability targets, aspirations and best in class approach building on the companies sustainability

The candidate:

·At least 5-7 years of progressive purchasing experience and a minimum of 3 years at Senior management in a national organisation

·Educated to degree level or with MCIPS qualifications preferable.

·Advanced level Excel and Access

·Demonstrable procurement and category buying experience, ideally within the retail, foodservice or catering supply chain markets.

·Commercial acumen in line with business scale and spend.

·Proven, solid influencing and negotiation skills.

·Team management and personal development experience with the ability to challenge, inspire and ensure team members excel in their roles.

·First class personal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence across a range of internal and external stakeholders.

·Experienced analytical skills, ideally aligned to e-commerce experience and knowledge.

·On trend with market insight and developing food trends across a range of sectors.

£60,000 - £65,000

Plus 10% bonus


5% pension contribution
