My client is currently looking for a Plumbing and Heating Sales Manager to work out of their Barnsley Branch. The client is a highly reputable independent Builders Merchant. They are looking to expand in the Plumbing and Heating market and are looking for a strong Sales Manager to stimulate sales and grow a team. This is an opportunity to develop a new operation and the potential to grow a team. We are looking for someone who will run the Plumbing and Heating department like their own business.

The Role of Sales Manager:

The role required as high level of managing and developing existing accounts and upselling. Winning new business is also key a focus for the development of Plumbing and Heating sales for the business.

As part of this busy sales role, you will maintain the best level of service to new and existing customers. You will negotiate with suppliers and customers to offer competitive prices and ask the right questions to link sell. Also, in this role you will communicate with the team to ensure a smooth transaction for the customer from start to finish.

What we are looking for from the next Sales Manager:

You will have previous experience in a similar phone based role with outstanding customer service skills. You need to be self­ motivated, enthusiastic and organised. You will also have good numerical skills and be confident both in telephone sales and also face to face sales. You will also have experience working in a builder’s merchants or similar background and knowledge of the products we sell. You will have to be proactive and a strong problem solver to succeed and have the ability to do the admin aspect of the role. Resilience and determination are key to develop to the next level. Experience with the local customer base and selling Plumbing and Heating products are essential for the next Sales Manager.

Management experience would be preferable as we are looking for someone to develop and grow a team.
