Employment Broker Job Coach
Action For Kids is an inspirational national charity helping young people with disabilities to develop their independence and find employment. Our vision is of a world where all people living with a disability get to lead the life they choose, just like their non disabled peers. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work experience across North London. At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 26.
We want to recruit a Job Coach to join our Services team. The role will involve working with individuals, assessing their employability skills; liaising with employers and brokering new opportunities for supported employment, volunteering and work placements; and providing specialist one to one coaching to enable young people to progress towards their own goals and objectives.
You will have extensive experience of working with young people with learning disabilities and understand the barriers that often prevent them from getting a job. You will also have experience and a successful track record of working with employers and supporting disabled people into employment and be passionate about their right to live the life they want. Your energy and commitment will enable you to play a key part in realizing this aspiration. You will be part of a highly committed and professional team that works across a range of disabilities.
Interviews to be held on the 5th & 6th February 2018 with a 2nd round of interviews to be held w/c 19th February.
