Position: Project Engineer (Water, Municipal Waste and Food) Location: Stoke-on-Trent Salary Guide: £25,000 - £35,000 plus 5% bonus and excellent benefits Our client has been creating premium heat transfer, separation and fluid handling technologies for more than 125 years, their products and solutions are used in such areas as water supply, food and beverages, power generation, energy, environmental protection and pharmaceuticals. They employ approximately 16,000 staff in more than 50 countries covering over 100 markets. They are recruiting for a Project Engineer for their Engineering and Supply business unit for the delivery of decanters, presses, filters and membranes to a wide range of Food & Water industries. You will predominantly be supporting project execution in the UK municipal waste environment, executing the project delivery requirements for its project and core equipment orders. The department also handles delivery of core equipment overseas and supporting internal development projects. You will handle multiple project deliveries globally, and you will be given the tools to be efficient and creative, be involved in the upfront solution and execution. Your main work activities will be to: Respond to customer project needs Issue documentation for project program, deliverables and technical information Project delivery, including attendance at customer meetings, planning and scheduling of machine builds, planning and executing site tasks to schedule, coordinating with sub-contractors and producing method statements Generate concise purchase conditions for sub-contractors and suppliers Skills, Qualifications & Experience: You will have completed a technical engineering qualification and will have an understanding of project management fundamentals, having worked in an engineering project environment previously. Highly organised, with an understanding of completing actions in a timely manner you will be self motivated to plan your own schedule around the requirements of your projects and driven to deliver promises to customers by executing projects, on time, on spec and on budget - whilst being under control and following internal processes. You will also be confident in front of customers and suppliers in both challenging and supporting roles. You must have a sound understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment, installations interfaces and best practices. Having worked in a similar environment you will have executed projected with main contractors or end users. Although not essential, municipal waste and/or industrial waste water experience would be beneficial, as would exposure to NEC3 contracts. This role will be based Newcastle under Lyme and will require visits to customers and sites, both in the UK and occasionally overseas.
