Head of Customer Strategy & Brand

Edinburgh or Manchester

My client are a well-known leading Retail Bank and are looking for an experienced brand specialist to join them as Head of Customer Strategy and Brand.

The role

This role is accountable for leading the development and delivery of the customer marketing strategy across the Bank aligned to strategic priorities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own the development of the customer strategy aligned to strategic priorities and income targets
  • Influence retained marketing agenda to ensure customer strategy is fulfilled and enhanced where possible.
  • Lead the identification and development of new customer communication activity required to fulfil potential gaps.
  • Own the quarterly business plan and brief across retail, business and commercial. Lead the syndication and sign off at exec level.
  • Ensure insights leads decisions and recommendations on customer strategy across segments understanding quarterly trends in relation to market demand, media costs and competitor activity/ spend.
  • Work collaboratively with propositions to ensure communications briefs are optimised in line with key segments and customer strategy.
  • Working with Analytics to define priority target customer segments for acquisition and retention as well as key quarterly cross sale, service proof point and channel opportunities in order to deepen customer relationships.
  • Own the sign off process for all quarterly campaign executions
  • Leading the weekly creative review ensuring that all submissions are align to the agreed process and that feedback is recorded and acted upon.

Qualifications

About you

Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous experience of developing insight led marketing campaign strategies is required.
  • Previous experience in Financial Services is preferred
  • Previous experience in the development of CRM strategies is preferred.

Technical Skills and Qualifications

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to simplify
  • Exceptionally customer focussed
  • Excellent presentation skills (written and oral)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment, ability to shape and define and prepared to flex with changing business needs
