My client a market leading services business based in Cheltenham is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. This fantastic opportunity has arisen due to company growth and expansion in order to support the busy finance team.
Your new role
Your new role has developed in order to support the finance team in maintaining accurate ledgers for the group's entities along with processing the internal payroll. Your key responsibilities will include; timely and accurate accounts payable input, monthly bank reconciliations and following up on un-reconciled items, upkeeping the firm's prepayments and accruals, maintaining a fixed asset registers, performing multi-currency payments, weekly reconciliation of timesheet ledgers, reporting and analysis, managing petty cash, managing the internal payroll and pension and adhoc reporting tasks as requested by the Financial Controller and Financial Accountant.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have recent experience working within a similar accounts position. It is essential that the successful candidate is highly self-motivated with a desire to succeed within a fast paced, technology driven environment and will have a high degree of confidential integrity. Previous experience using Sage 50, Sage Payroll and Quickbooks is advantageous along with an AAT qualification.
