Finance Manager -
This Global leader in Consumer Electronics is looking for an experienced Finance Manager withexperience of working with Marketing teams who has strong budgeting and experienceand is comfortable working with large complex data. You will need to be a Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with experience of working in technology or FMCG sectors within Marketing. You will need to have hands on experience of using ERP systems (preferably SAP)
This role will report back to a number of senior stakeholders within the marketing team, being a strong communicator is essential as is the confidence to push back to stakeholders when required. The company is experience significant growth which offers strong career development opportunities.
The role manages the end to end Marketing expenditure process and all finance aspects of Marketing expenditure - Annual planning, monthly/quarterly forecasting, control, governance and commercial support with the vision to drive and support this area of the business. You will lead annual budgetting/planning process for marketing spend and ensure that marketing spend are managed within guideline and management plan
Lead monthly forecasting process for marketing spend and driving improvements to the forecast and budget process to ensure continued forecast accuracy. Providing the senior management with financial reporting and insightful variance analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis as well as ad hoc analysis where necessary to highlight and analyse key drivers, assumptions and sensitivities behind the forecast.
You will own the process of accounting for marketing expenditure, oversee month-end process for marketing costs. Ensure costs are accurately recorded and correctly classified. Be an advocate for strong business controls in the marketing spend management and provide guidance on the accounting for marketing investment projects, obtaining technical advice from other areas of Finance where necessary and ensuring that transaction can be properly supported by the company’s financial processes and systems. You will also drive process change to improve quality of reporting and increase efficiency of processes as well as driving financial performance.
- Business partnering with marketing team and product management team
- Identify cost and efficiency saving across the business
- Provide Marketing heads with recommendations/take action to improve financial performance
- Building business cases
- Authorise payment requests and audit relevant evidences and post-activity reconciliation against contractual terms.
- Lead vendor audits/due diligence work
- Lead ad-hoc projects /analysis work
- Liaise with external/internal auditors and other stakeholders
