Assistant Building Surveyor

An expanding multi-disciplined Consultancy of Surveyors are seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their Building Consultancy team. Offering expert APC support from a team who have 100% first time pass rate, this practice offers an extremely varied portfolio of work including commercial offices to high end residential giving any Assistant Building Surveyor the necessary exposure to become MRICS Chartered. Located just north of Bristol city centre, this role is deal for an Assistant Building Surveyor either looking to avoid commuting into Central Bristol or for somebody not receiving enough APC support to successfully work towards MRICS Chartership. To be considered for this position you will need to have a minimum of 12 months Private Practice/Consultancy experience and recorded at least 6 months' worth of APC diary.

With offices countrywide, this practice offers an extremely broad spectrum of work ranging from high end residential properties to commercial offices and universities around Bristol as well as parts of Somerset and Gloucestershire. This practice has strong expansion plans over the next 12 months and have an extremely high level of retained business.

The company have a commitment to growing their team organically and therefore have an extremely low staff turnover rate.

The Role

The Assistant Building Surveyors' duties will include;

  • Due Diligence/Building Surveys
  • Contract Administration
  • Party Wall and Neighbourly Matters
  • Dilapidations
  • Schedules of Condition
  • Defect Diagnosis
  • Pre-acquisition Surveys

The Successful Assistant Building Surveyor

This is a role ideal for an Assistant Building Surveyor seeking a tailored pathway to MRICS Chartership who may not be getting the support needed in their current role.

  • 12 months Private Practice/ Consultancy Building Surveying experience
  • 6 months APC diary recorded
  • MSc/BSc in Building Surveying
  • Experience in dealing with Professional Building Surveying matters
  • Committed to career progression
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be self-motivated, ambitious and organised
